885007_10151797273232499_533637039_oWhether you want to race or simply want to ride, Freedom Park BMX Raceway provides great BMX riding and competitive racing opportunities for participants of all ages and abilities. Sanctioned by USA BMX–the largest BMX sanctioning body in the world–FP BMX is your BMX track in West Ventura County, dedicated to creating a healthy, positive cycling environment.

We have just completed a major capital improvement project to our facility including the installation of an Onyx Safety Starting Gate, the safest and only “barrel”  gate of its kind in Southern California. Whether you are new to the sport or haven’t been out in a while, we welcome you to visit our park for what promises to be a great cycling experience for the whole family.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 6th to do something good. And all you have to do is plan to spend the day at Freedom Park BMX where we will be holding a special benefit race for Elite Pro Sam Willoughby – 2012 Olympic Silver Medalist, BMX World Champion and arguably one of the greatest racers of his generation – who suffered a significant injury while training last month.  To assist with his road to recovery, we will be holding a special single points race and donating all proceeds to Sam’s recovery fund. Entry fees will be $20 or more if you can donate, and Freedom Park will match all that is raised. The gates will open at 9am the day and start with a free pancake breakfast. Registration and practice will be 10am-12pm, with racing starting ASAP after 12pm. Mike Redman will also be in the house calling all the action and then from 1pm-3pm, Mike will be leading a very special Redman Clinic –  donating your entire $30 clinic fee to Sam’s recovery fund, and again Freedom Park will be honored to match those clinic fees for Sam.  So, make the commitment to do something good and have fun doing what Sam loves – racing BMX.  Rumor has it that a number of BMX Olympians will also be in the house, raffling off jerseys for Sam as well. For more information or to donate please call the track hotline or message us on Facebook.
