SERIES RULES, REQUIRMENTS, SCORING & AWARDS (PLEASE NOTE: PRIZES ARE NOT FINALIZED)
All ABA rules will apply. Although all GCC races are ABA single points/regular district points races, the GCC series will comprise five (5) GCC Single-Series-Points Races, one (1) GCC Double-Series-Points Race, and one (1) GCC Double-Series-Points Finale Race. In addition to Riders earning ABA single district points at all seven (7) GCC events in accordance with their finishes, each rider will earn special Gold Coast Cup points based upon their main event finishes.
Riders' final GCC standings will be tallied from their best three (3) finishes, plus their finish in the GCC Series Finale. The GCC point scale is the same for NOVICE, INTERMEDIATE, EXPERT, CRUISER, GIRL and GIRL CRUISER. Riders may participate in all races and discard their low scores. Please note that it is not necessary to participate in the series minimum in order to earn points towards an overall Gold Coast Cup ranking.

Riders may also enter to race the above special GCC Double-Series-Points Race, counting any double-points earned as either two (2) of their best three (3) series scores or counting half of any double-points earned as only one (1) of their best three (3) series scores. (Please note this race is in lieu of a second series race at Freedom Park BMX on 8/20 as FP BMX will be closed and not race on this day.)
GCC DOUBLE-SERIES-POINTS FINALE:
August 27, 2011:
GCC DOUBLE-SERIES-POINTS FINALE: Freedom Park BMX Raceway, 5:00PM-7:00PM sign-ups, racing ASAP.
Riders will add to their best three (3) scores any double-series-points earned at the GCC Series Finale to determine their final/overall standings and the GCC Champion.
TIE BREAKERS: In the event of a tie, the tie breaker will be awarded to the Rider with the most First Place, then Second Place, then Third Place, etc., finishes counted from EVERY race throughout the series. Only after a tally of all main event finishes has been exhausted as a tie breaker will rider count in each Rider's best three (3) races and the Series Finale be used to determine the tie breaker.
GOLD COAST BMX PRO-AM:
August 27, 2011:
Pro and Expert Amateur men and women over 15-years-old are eligible to race. This is an OPEN race; men and woman race together, no age brackets. ABA pro racing rules apply. All racers entered will race all three rounds. Low points transfers to the semi and/or main.
This Pro-Am is a two (2) race series:
PRO-AM ROUND #1: Elings Park BMX Raceway, 10AM-11:30AM sign-ups, racing ASAP.
PRO-AM ROUND #2: Freedom Park BMX Raceway, 5:00PM-7:00PM sign-ups, racing ASAP.
The Gold Coast Cup Pro-Am Champion and GCC final Pro-Am standings will be based on the combined main finish points from Rounds #1 and #2.
A GUARANTEED GCC PRO-AM SERIES PURSE OF $5,000.00 WILL PAY OUT AS FOLLOWS:

THE TOP EIGHT (8) GCC PRO-AM FINISHERS WILL ALSO EARN A COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE BASED ON THEIR FINAL SERIES RANKING.

Entries for each GCC Single-Series-Points Races, the Double-Series-Points Race and the Series Finale Race: $12.00.
(GCC Race Series Punch Card good for five (5) out of seven (7) GCC Series races: $50.00)

Prize Raffles & Crowd Giveaways:
For each GCC race, every rider that enters the day’s event will have his/her name placed into a drawing for that day’s prize raffle. Names will be drawn for prizes and the rider must be present to collect the prize. There will also be mystery moto prizes and crowd giveaways.

Top 20 overall- Gold Coast Cup custom sublimated jersey including Rider’s Name and Gold Coast Cup earned number on the back of the jersey.
