Get your spot on the starting gate for the BMX camp that guarantees the most fun, the best learning track, and the most comfortable facilities for your BMX racer while the getting is good. But most of all, you can send your racer or racer-in-the-making to our BXM Summer Camp knowing that your Track/Camp Operators, together with our Head Coach and certified youth trainer , Chantel Blanchet, have more than 20 combined years of BMX specific camp experience. Ska Daddyz Rock FP’s State Championship Race
The Ska Daddyz, one of Ventura County’s best musical exports over the years, performed some extreme parenting alongside Freedom Park BMX operators Richard and Andrea Huvard, hitting all the right notes while their kids hit the jumps at the track’s State Championship Race this past Saturday. The idea to get the band to play at the track was the inspiration of Ska Daddyz’ man on the bass, Jimi Jaynes Chastain,who knew his band’s high energy mix of Ska, funk and more would be the perfect mix for the action sports crowd of BMX racers and their families that numbered in the hundreds. The Huvards, who also own the Staats Bicycle Company, pulled out all the stops to ready the facility for the Ska Daddyz, including setting up the Factory Staats race rig as the “Staats Stage”. Attracting riders from all over Southern California, and even some as far away as Arizona and Northern California, the State Champion Race was part of the USA BMX Southern California State Championship Series that will ultimately determine the 2013 California State BMX Champions.
